Milling around on a semi suntan lotion Sunday morning in the carpark behind the pub we realised that the JMs were not present. Flash, feeling empowered was just about to step in and start proceedings when over the airwaves came the message "we are on our way, we are almost there" ... So we waited until their chariot arrived and they parked and disembarked like the old Le Mans 24hr race but in reverse. Bika then admitted that due to a technical difficulty in his brain he had laid the trail using Worthy Winchester markings for which he then gave us instruction. Then without further ado we found trail north up Five Heads Rd. Initially we were lead through the houses and then out into the southern part of the Lith where we managed to get comprehensively confused, probably because no one was paying attention when the markings were explained, well what do you expect.
After a bit of hare first aid we got underway again with Panda's young nephew, Paul leading
the way up to Catherington church where our attention was drawn to the headstone with the
scull and crossbones inscribed.
Then it was North on the pavement past the Farmer Inn and east across the road and into the
fields heading back towards the Lith and moving at a good trot except for the short hiatus
caused by Sarah getting here shorts mechanically involved with one of the small gates.
There was a big round of applause for Bika and Kermit for such a good trail in territory which
we have not explored in many a long year.
Pleasant rehydration then took place in the garden of the Brewer's where the landlady's dogs put on a good show of begging for scraps. Bambi.
