A lovely day to revisit these well trodden woods.
We welcomed back Popeye and Olive Oyl after a 6 month absence. Also Malibog and daughter.
It was also nice to see The Chamois and her friend.
Dag was virgin co-hare this day along with the Spiders.

So we were off; heading east across Stane Street.
Some detours down forest paths and a couple of regroups allowed the runners and walkers to arrive together at a Ladies Check at the foot of Nore Hill.
The runners where led up the hill by Snake Charmer while the walkers ventured on into oblivion.
The pack were flummoxed near the top. All paths are false they bleated until Dag pointed to an arrow made of wood which led them tree by tree to the summit.
The trail followed the lovely west side of Nore hill and then south with a photo stop to look at Butlins.
Further on was a birthday check where the letters HB SC xx were deciphered.
After the loop around Nore hill the pack found the outward trail which led them back to the Ladies Check.
It took a while to fathom out that a hare could change the course laid so it can be later revisited.

Heading north west brought us back to Stane Street where Can Man took a tumble and retired with his wounds.
The rest found a nice wiggly path back to the chariots after 7km and 1 hour 20 min.

Nominees for the hashit were Pancsi and The Ref for ignoring the 'Ladies Check', Malibog for something, Dag for never knowing where she was despite being Hare, but the winner was Snake Charmer for running on her birthday.

Other news reported were thanks to Treefeller for a nice BBQ. Pink Flamingo had a fracture in the foot and will be out of action for a while but was brave enough to return to work quickly.
Pancsi's daughter Godiva aka Sarah, who more not than often hashes with us, has had a second baby, Eloise. She was very early weighing under 3lb!.

We then retired to the George Inn which has gone all chichi.
We joined the wasps in the garden around a medieval banquet sized table and enjoyed the sun.
