On east was outbound with the tiniest piece of road work before re-entering the forest heading north east, with a left right kink. Spiderman was convinced that we were heading up Nore hill, as we hadn’t visited it for a while, but all his checking in that direction was in vain. Heading generally north west there was a fish hook for 4 people and 1 dog! Aragorn, bless him, shot back to the advancing pack as fast as his little legs would carry him and returned to the check on command. The sun came out as we bounded uphill through the rustling beach forest but Aragorn disgraced himself by watering a check.
In the post run circle, Bambi educated us in the art of singing traditional Hashing ballads and issued alcoholic and non-alcoholic “down downs” to Popeye and Olive Oil for not carrying the Hash-it around the circuit, Bica for Aragorn’s behaviour on a check, and the Hares for laying the trail. The Hash-it was awarded to, Substandard for chatting to strange men in the forest. Then we were off for grog at the Anglesey Arms in Halnaker, having completed the 4.6 mile run (including falsies) in a steady 85 minutes. On-On,
