If anyone was unaware what day it was then they soon found out when the solitary JM started his speech. It began at 11 sharp and did not conclude even when the late arrivals, Doc Blood, Pink Flamingo, Snake Charmer and of course as usual Bika arrived with Aragon 10 minutes later.

So if you wish to know anything about the history of St. George or what he had for breakfast ask a 23rd of April Hasher.

Finally we were handed over to the 6 hares who after the normal lies and promises of numbers at 5 falsies representing left over, unwanted, Easter Eggs, I’'m only saying this as I didn'’t get one, we set off out of the car park towards the main road.

A quick U- turn and down the footpath, through a new housing estate and into Creech Wood. As we entered the gate we were greeted with a flour arrow pointing to the left, this arrow plays a part later in the run. It led us through the blue bells to a check that had us running back along a parallel path where Vixen seemed to lose control of her deer chasing hound that does very well with its gammy leg!

On-on through the twisting undergrowth, helped at times by two over enthusiastic leverets, when in from the right, just ahead of us front runners, came Snake Charmer, ignoring the falsie she had found, leading a bunch of SCB’s.

O dear, what a shame! They were all caught out by a very well placed fish hook, catching out Splasher, Kinky, Doc. Blood and of course S.C.

Just around the corner was another fish hook this time catching out S.C. Vixen, Dag, Ref, Pancsi, Dog Whistle and for some reason Jon the hare.

Doc. Blood and Kinky were the only two to be caught out by the third fish hook which was just before a six way check.

This took us towards the road where some intrepid hashers were tempted in crossing. No luck. The trail led us parallel to the road via a back check where eventually we did cross the road. A small loop had us running north towards the usual car park, where after a photo opportunity, we encountered a very helpful dog walker who pointed out flour she had seen leading into the woods.

With S.C. shouting for Bell to return, we headed east, on a zig-zag path to the final fish hook that caught out Pink Flamingo, Hair Brush, Splasher, S.C., Kinky, Prancer, Doc. Blood and Sinbad.

The On-in was neatly written on a board with an arrow pointing straight on. Just ahead of it the enthusiastic front runner ignored the entrance to the woods that we came in through but followed the flour arrow, mentioned at the beginning of this write up. How far they actually went no one knows as they denied all knowledge of it due to fear of the Hash-It.

Dag, Ref and Pancsi were dragged into the circle for wanting to do another lap along with Splasher for not going to Australia, a fact we must not keep going on and on and on about! and Kinky for some unknown reason(my hearing is not too good).

Although Pancsi was awarded it he admitted he would be missing the next run so it was awarded jointly to Bika and Aragon mainly for turning up late.

Thanks to all the hares for a great run and the Easter Eggs they supplied.

Refreshments were taken at The Falcon Pub.

On! On! ,Old Faithful.
