Lodged between a Black Friday and a Cyber Monday, Hash Sunday managed to persuade a select band to forsake screen tapping commercial consumption and breathe cool fresh air in the Sussex Weald.

Before we set off, Prancer relieved himself of some witty one liners and a Hash Lord's Prayer, followed by a request from Hairbrush that we look out for his lost glove which he must have removed so as to get a bit more dexterity from the bare hand that he was using to? .... well he did not say.

We issued forth West on Heyshott Common wandering about amongst the brown bracken and silver birch until Vixen, who appeared to be running on new Duracells, managed to find a good trail on the yellow sand North West into Upper Polecats. Prancer and Old Faithful then took over but ground to a halt in the pines beneath the ridge when Old Faithful just did not go far enough when checking West, as Two Ferrets said "he just did not go all the way, how frustrating!".

Thus with help from The hares we mounted Goldballs Plantation and traversed North on The Serpent Trail with Snake Charmer, aptly out in front. Inevitably we reached the old railway track that bisects this part of the world and provides a multitude of possible ways to go.

We spent quite a while here as the various possibilities were ruminated and one by one proved to be false. Unfortunately Dr Blood found a trail that he falsely found false, if you get my drift?. Some recrimination followed as we were taken on a U Turn South through the gloomy arch under the line and into the brighter light of the path down to the stream bridge at Little London.

There was no messing about here, trying to get us to jump the banks as so many times before, no, it was straight across the bridge and up under the High Voltage lines.

Looking South from here we could just make out the chariots, however few believed that a direct run in was on the cards, thus we spent some time looking around until we discovered that it was that easy.

Panda remarked "brilliant!" as we reached the On-In after one hour and three minutes of rapid Hashing.

At the Circle we considered Vixen who had peaked too soon, the falsely false Dr Blood, then gave the Hash-It to Old Faithful for not going all the way.

The missing glove is still missing.

On – On ! Bambi.
